About

Hi! Welcome welcome.

I am a twenty-something year old who is passionate about all things eco-friendly. While I am by no means a make-up expert (and in fact, most days go largely bare-faced), I have found that the battle to find skincare, haircare and cosmetic products that are completely animal cruelty free  can be difficult.  I need to know that what I’m buying is safe, as natural as possible and that no animal testing has been involved in its development. So, I decided to set up this page as a way to share what I have found – and more importantly to hear what you have found! Beyond that, I hope to write about physical and mental health, living an eco-friendly life, college and all sorts of things in between.

So what is “Cruelty-Free” to me?

Cruelty-Free to me means that the product I am buying has not been tested on animals. The company that produces the product does not test or hire third parties to test on animals. The company that produces the product is not owned by a parent company that tests or hires third parties to test on animals. The company that produces the product does not sell in China – where the law obligates testing on animals. This includes but is not limited to cosmetics, skincare, hair care, hygiene products etc.

I look forward to chatting, so please don’t hesitate to leave comments or email me here or at mirrorthelove@gmail.com !
